At the Mina Animal Market located in Abu Dhabi, animals such as dogs, cats, birds, and many more are cramped up in unhealthy and cruel conditions. Most of the animals don't even have water or food in their small cages. The animals are sick and some of them are too young to be sold. There are dead animals in dirty cages where the animals have to live in their own excrements.
Mistreating animals is considered a sin in Islam. A Muslim is responsible for the care of animals so that an ill-treated animal will testify against the one who abused it on the Day of Judgment. As humans, we have a responsibility towards every living creature. Just imagine yourself living in those conditions.

Update: Due to the improved situation at the Mina Market a close-down is not achievable anymore. We have therefore decided to end the petition.
Between March 2012 and April 2014 we were able to collect 1599 signatures.
